Hello, I have been reading up on the use of Google Maps API and thus far have determined that the use is in line with the API.
I am now talking with a client who wishes to expand the use of Google Maps in a new web site. I am not entirely sure if this would be in line with the terms of use and have not been able to get a definite yes or no from the FAQ or other posts on this forum. This new site will allow any visitor to the website to access Google Maps with a set of data displayed on it. The visitor will then be able to register (free of charge) to obtain additional information on the data set and customize the way the data is displayed. This registration will create an account where all this customizations can be stored. Thirdly visitors will be able to subscribe to obtain automatic alerts of data changes and/or exceeding a set of user defined parameters. This will require payment but will not affect the data displayed on Google Maps. Basically all paid for services will be for additional services above and beyond the display of data on Google Maps. >From what I have read thus far, it seems that this site will be in line with the terms and conditions, but I am unsure about whether the paid for services available from the same site and interface will violate the terms. Any clarification on this will be appreciated.
