Dear Ralph,

Can't thank you enough for putting me on the trail of a really
boneheaded mistake I made a day or two ago, never noticed, and have
been suffering for ever since. My HTML was looking for "icontype"s,
and my XML was tagged "iconstyle"s. Good lord. Fixed the XML and
things started falling into place!

A new version is up at
http://lovebunnies.luckypro.biz/01_stuff/roman_holiday/romanholidaymap.html
and the map page is working very well. Thanks to all who gave much
needed advice.

I can see I should try to make the map zoom to the enabled markers.

But next, I need to get the linking function going. So please, can you
or anyone help? This will be a very specific request. If you look at
the map page, you see checkboxes, each of which loads a category of
markers. The suite which is going --I fervently hope-- to drive this
map page has a page for each category. What I would like to have
happen is that when a location's text is clicked on one of the pages,
the user is switched to the map page which will then load the relevant
category, and maybe open the relevant infowindow. At least, load the
category. so, I need an href link that will call the boxclick
function. I assume. Is there a way to do that?
