Hi folks-

The POIs come from various sources, including MapMaker. There is
already a feature request internally filed to let API users turn these
off (for issues similar to the ones listed here), but you're welcome
to file an external request as well.

If the actual POI data is incorrect, then you can file a bug and I'll
look into it. (Technically, the issue tracker is not for data bugs,
but for something like the burned in POIs, it's probably the easiest
way to report them).
