Interestingly, the copies of the tiles with no &hl in the URL don't seem 
to have the POIs. However, I can't find a legal way to persuade the API 
to use that set of tiles. If you don't use a valid &hl when you call the 
API, it uses &hl=en.

Some &hl settings have different POIs. E.g. &hl=ja has no POIs for 
locations in the UK, but it does have POIs in the USA.
