Hehe! Welcome to the club of frustrated contributors. This is a very old discussion that has taken place several times, both publicly in the forum, and by private email. The present posting guidelines were born out of this same debate, but clearly they are not enough.
In a recent exchange I had about this with Pamela and others, I advocated "strict moderation", meaning that moderators should not accept posts without a link, but the argument against it, understandably, was that it would take too much time to moderate the group. I suppose the only way to improve things would be "community moderation", meaning an agreement between all regular responders to not respond to posts that ignore the posting guidelines, even when you can see what the problem is. After all, demonstrating telepathic skills is beside the point of this group. ;-) -- Marcelo - http://maps.forum.nu -- --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
