Thanks Brett, I've tried that. I used to find that ctrl-F5-ing the large page in question would, after a few repetitions, get all maps loaded. Contacting Google about this had been on my list of things to do for a while, but only now that the rest of the site is affected it became urgent.
I should also mention that testing the large page once was enough to get me flagged as exceeding the limit - it's not that I tested five different new versions of the page, which would have put me over the stated 1000 unique maps per day limit.
