I have a (very large) static web page which contains over 200 (rarely
changed) static maps at
http://www.vhpa.org.au/VHPA%20Site%20Guide%20-%20Complete.html
. In the past, viewing this page seemed to confuse Google's usage
limit algorithm, and from about half-way down the page the maps showed
the 'usage limit exceeded' picture (
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/staticmaps/images/quota.png
). (I do not exceed or get anywhere near Google's stated limits.)

I'm migrating the code which generates this page to V2 of the static
maps API. Testing the new page locally seems to have pushed the usage
algorithm over the edge, and now all the pages using my API key show
the quota picture (see for example
http://www.vhpa.org.au/Sites/Stanwell%20Park%20-%20Bald%20Hill.html
). Since I don't think there's much I can do from this end, could
somebody at Google please look into this? This has some urgency for me
and my site's users.

Cheers,
Jan
