I am experiencing issues with the lack of any response received from my 'Report Spam' and 'Report the message' submissions to the Google Maps API Group. My next step is the report the group directly - which I have just done.
The issue is the policy of having posts include the URL of a issues posted. However what you fail to appreciate is these posts are indexed by Google directly and generate high rankings - which cannot be removed unless the group removes the post - or at least the reference to it. A contractor of our firm has made an unauthorized post on Google Maps API under the heading javascript error in main.js file. They included the complete URL of the application, which 1 year later has been completed and launched. Now advertising has started - and searches for our domain name generate 'javascript error...' as the number one search result on Google. Google will not re-index until the Group content is updated - and the Group administrator has been completely unresponsive all week to remove the links. I suspect because it contradicts their policy. I am hopeful Google will step in and provide some assistance without the requirement of a legal injunction. The link in reference is danecountyforeclosure.com.
