The only lines unique to VML are 1020-1090 which I believe are quite
straight forward.  Everything else works properly in other browsers.

The coding style has evolved over many years of assembly language
programming with never enough registers.  It may not be pretty but it
will not choke on polys with over one hundred thousand points.  In-
line code eliminates function call overhead.  In order to prevent
"script running slowly" messages, code legibility suffers.

Esa:

VML is the last choice if neither SVG nor CANVAS is available.
Unfortunately, old versions of IE will not disappear for several
years.
