You are welcome to use it but not change it right now.  You ought to
check for updates every couple of weeks.  I do expect to add mouse
events in the near future.  If you run some of the demos, the
performance advantage will be apparent, particularly during dragging,
panning & zooming.

If your customers are mobile phone users, VML support is a non-issue.
I might add static map support.  It will require a device with JS
support but you will be able to display much larger & many more
polys.  You will be able to reconfigure the poly layer overlay without
requesting another static map which will reduce latency & not count
against your quota.
