OK... for the bottom line-segment, when execution reaches line 1088,
o has properties
  o.style.left = "0px"
  o.style.top = "0px"
  o.style.width = "256px"
  o.style.height = "256px";
  e = "m 102 35 l 102 36 l 103 36 l 103 46 l 102 46 l 102 47 l 101 48
l 96 48 l 96 50 l 95 50 l 94 49 l 90 49 l 90 50 l 91 50 l 90 51 l 88
51 l 88 50 l 86 50 l 86 51 l 85 52 l 85 55 l 86 55 l 86 58 e" (those
are lower-case Ls)
but o.path has not been set to e; o.path is a complex object. Script
Debugger doesn't show what properties are available, you have to know
what they are in order to enumerate them.
  c.weight=4 but f.weight=c.weight+"px" results in
  f.weight=3, not "4px".

It appears to me that although e is a valid VML path specification,
o.path isn't being set correctly, and f.weight may cause problems. VML
is not my forte, and Script Debugger isn't helpful. Having stopped at
a breakpoint, it's not possible to alter variables and carry on; it
hangs.
