You also temporarily get a lengthened bar if you use my zoomIn()
function to go past 17!

I can try to overwrite the getMaximumResolution() function. It's
probably safe to assume that viewers of this map are only going to be
viewing this area in which case the max of 19 is going to be safe.

It doesn't appear to be my code, because if you view the area using
Mike Williams' tutorials, they also max out at 17.

Experimenting, Brisbane (big city just north of us) also has this
problem. London does not! But, New York also appears to have this
problem! (use http://www.lanerealty.com.au/MapQ.html which has
essentially the same code except that you can go anywhere you like
using the form at the bottom)

In the local case this may have something to do with the two 'hidden'
levels containing block and street number data and an IP problem. If
so I would appreciate an answer from Google or the Map people as to
whether these levels will remain available if I do overwrite the
Maximum Resolution.
