The reason I asked that is becuase I'm using a KML layer, and
inserting icons that are generated on the page, and I'm not having
your click problem, at least so far as being able to easliy click the
icons.  But I am having the problem that I can't turn off the
infowindow on the KML layer, so yeah everytime you click somewhere
other than the icons, you get the window. It's annoying.

But.....my icons are easliy clicked, the clickable area matches them
entirely, not like yours where you have to find just the right spot.
