Can you show me your example which works properly? Is it a polygon and
point markers, with the polygon overlapping the markers? That seems to be the issue: places where the markers stick outside of the polygon are fine.

I just fixed my own version to manually create Markers, and this did fix the problem, though of course ideally I'd like to see KmlLayer do this stuff for me.

I have the simplified example here which still shows the bug. As you can see, there's not much to debug: a map is created and 2 KmlLayers are loaded.
