I have never suggested a category for "experienced designers". Another person has made that suggestion. The point is something needs to be done to make themes discoverable. I have said creating another category and setting up some criteria for that category would be a way to make themes easier to find. One criteria that could be used to establish that category is the number of themes that the public is using by designers. That's the public making the decision, not me. The current system doesn't work anymore given the flood of themes that they are constantly posting from the new Thememaker.
You make comments like I have some great ego motive and that this is all about me. That's not true. But, it is true that many good designers did get satisfaction out of designing good themes and having people appreciate and use them. Now, those designers won't be making those themes for the theme library anymore. I think that's too bad. Looks to me like the only thing Google is intereted in is having as many people submit themes as possible because they figure that will benefit them because they will use iGoogle. That seems to be a pretty common way of thinking these days. It could have been handled better. Google could have satisfied other objectives as well if they had given it some thought and managed it better. Enough of this, I have better things to do. This will be my last post on this subject.
