Google released Google translation on smartphones with STT and TTS. With such apps available, people would think it is something they can rely on to some degree.
When the translation is "I want to EAT you", instead of what's meant that is "I want to eat WITH you"... this is really bad.... I don't know how "contribute a better translation" worked before. It may have been removed to prevent some people from submitted false translation for the fun of it, but if Google will have this translation service up and running...I hope they at least have some native speaker of each language involved in reviewing the translations. Otherwise, put up some discrimination with each translation that the google translation is required be reviewed by someone before put to use.
