Stuart, have you had a chance to look at the logs? Also, my username is bhippel, and I have a BlackBerry Pearl, BB OS version 4.2.0.73. I am also including below, a text file I built, trying out very many different combinations of creating, deleting, and modifying appointments on both the BB device and Gcal. I hope you find it useful. As you will see below, just about all the problems are related to all-day appointments and multi-day appointments. The one- on-one synchs work like a champ. ===================== Repeating weekly appt, created on Gcal...then sync: showed up on BB, no prob
Single appt, created on Gcal, then sync: showed up on BB, no prob Repeating weekly appt, created on BB, then sync: showed up on Gcal with repeated events. Rather than showing "until June 22, 2007", as on BB, it stated "repeat 4 times"...which still was the same date range. Just a different way to interpret it. Single appt, created on BB, then sync: Showed up on Gcal, no prob All day appt, created on Gcal, then sync: did not show up on BB. Did another sync. All day appt, created on BB, then sync: checked box for "All day" appointment in BB, but showed up as 00:00 to 23:59 single appointment...so the appointment was not on the "upper bar" portion of the calendar, but took up the entire day. Multi-day appt, created on GCal, then sync: Created 3-day appointment on Gcal, and did create proper all-day appointment (with diamond in calendar for each day), but only showed up as 2-day appointment on BB. The third day was missing. Multi-day appt, created on BB, then sync: this worked. The appointment had the time (00:00) from beginning to 00:00 time at the end...the end technically went to 00:00 of the next day, but did not take up the next day after the end of the appointment. It effectively works. ====== Repeating weekly appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on Gcal, then sync: Original sync worked perfectly, showed on BB. Second sync worked perfectly, deleted on BB. Repeating weekly appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: Original sync worked perfectly. Second sync worked perfectly. Single appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on Gcal, then sync: First sync worked perfectly, appointment showed on BB. Second sync worked perfectly. Single appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: First sync worked perfectly. Appointment showed on BB. Second sync worked perfectly, appointment disappeared from Gcal. Multi-day appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on Gcal, then sync: First sync did not work properly...as was the case above, the Gcal appointment was from 5/30 to 5/31, two days, all day. Showed up as all day for only 5/30 on the BB. Deletion worked perfectly. Multi-day appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: As before, multi-day appointment created on Gcal does not sync properly to BB--it comes up a day short on the device. Deletion worked perfectly. All-day appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on Gcal, then sync: As before, and with multi-day appointments, this appointment did not show up on the BB, as it is always a day short--and since this was a one-day, all-day appointment, nothing was on the BB. All-day appt, created on Gcal, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: See above. Repeating weekly appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: First sync worked perfectly. Second sync worked perfectly, appointment disappeared. Repeating weekly appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on Gcal then sync: First sync worked great, it showed up on Gcal perfectly. Worked well, disappeared from BB as expected. Single appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: First sync worked well, as expected. Second sync worked perfectly. Appointment removed from Gcal. Single appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on Gcal, then sync: First sync worked perfectly. Second sync worked perfectly. Multi-day appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: First sync worked well. As stated above, with multi-day created on BlackBerry, the end appointment time on Gcal is 00:00 the day after the last day, but it shows up correctly. Second sync worked perfectly. Multi-day appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on Gcal, then sync: First sync worked well, as before. Second sync worked perfectly. All-day appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on BB, then sync: As before, first sync showed up as 23:59 length appointment on Gcal, rather than up at the top. Deletion worked perfectly. All-day appt, created on BB, then sync, then deleted on Gcal, then sync: First sync worked as the above, created a 23:59 length appointment. Deletion on Gcal worked perfectly and appointment was deleted from BB. Next, modifications: I created a series of appointments, and then modified things like notes, times, location, busy/available, etc. Single appt, created on BB, modified on BB: Created correctly on Gcal. Modified correctly on Gcal. Repeating appt, created on BB modified on BB: Created correctly on Gcal. Modified correctly on Gcal. Multi-day appt, created on BB, modified on BB: Created correctly on Gcal. Modified correctly on Gcal. All-day appt, created on BB, modified on BB: Created with 23:59 appointment in Gcal. However, modifications to the all-day appointment worked well. Single appt, created on BB, modified on Gcal: Single appointment worked well with first sync. Modification worked perfectly. Repeating appt, created on BB, modified on Gcal: Appointment worked well with first sync. Worked well with change to all appointments. Changed one instance of the appointment on BB, and instead of replacing that day's instance of the appointment in Gcal, it created a new appointment based on the new time for that one day. So there were two appointments on Gcal. Multi-day appt, created on BB, modified on Gcal: Appointment created properly. Change was applied properly. All-day appt, created on BB, modified on Gcal: Appointment created properly, change was applied properly. Single appt, created on Gcal, modified on BB: Appointment created properly, change was applied properly. Repeating appt, created on Gcal modified on BB: All worked well. Multi-day appt, created on Gcal, modified on BB: This does not work cleanly. I set the days to June 1-5 on the BB when I modified the original appointment. After the sync, Gcal reads Jun 1-3 on the bubble that pops up from clicking the appointment. But when I open the appointment series, it shows it is supposed to go to Jun 6 at 00:00, effectively making it a Jun 1-5 all day appointment. The weekly calendar view shows it only going to Jun 3. A message in the notes portion did show up. When availability was changed to "out of office", the Gcal appointment remained as "available". This should at least change to "busy". All-day appt, created on Gcal, modified on BB: This will not work. See above. Single appt, created on Gcal, modified on Gcal: Worked perfectly. Also of note: this time I just dragged the appointment on Gcal, rather than open it to change the times, and it worked. Repeating appt, created on Gcal, modified on Gcal: Created fine--and this one was a Mon-Fri appointment. Weekends were also skipped on the BB. Multi-day appt, created on Gcal, modified on Gcal: Worked great. All-day appt, created on Gcal, modified on Gcal: Won't work. See above. Modify existing 23:59 appointment in Gcal to "All Day", then sync: This did not work. When the appointment was changed to "all day" in Gcal, it disappeared from BB. All-day appointments, until there is a fix, will show up as taking up the entire day. On May 29, 2:16 am, Stuart - GooSync Support <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > 1.
