Hello I didn't know how to get to synaptic. I wanted to watch movies but there were no codecs. People told me that VLC player will do the job. Unfortunately it didn't. Then I tried to install some AC3 codecs because I have sound interupts but system stop to respond on 78% or something like that. I turn it off. Now, Synaptic doesn't work and I can't install programs through terminal also. I get message like this:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report. I write that command in terminal but then I receive a message that only superuser can execute that command. How come I am not superuser on my computer? How will I resolve this problem?
