No idea what a "clear terminal" is, and what relevance it has on
"clear sound", seems these are totally unrelated subject.

First thing you should do when you have sound problems is to take a
good look at the audio mixer settings, you can do that with the
"alsamixer", which is a program you can start from the shell (the
terminal), and it has a "semi graphical interface", you control it
with the cursor keys and the enter key. It shows all the possibilities
of the audio chip on your soundcard, not only the "volume control".
Most sound problems are just caused by wrong settings in the audio
mixer, and these can be solved by using "alsamixer".
