OK... new development. I followed your instructions (installed any missing apps, copy/pasted the text and saved as .wbar), and after a restart, my bar was back!! Afraid to change any settings, when I opened up the wbarconf, the only change I made was to add Picasa as an app on the bar (like it was there upon the fresh OS install). After I added Picasa and hit refresh, the bar disappeared again.
Would I be better off to edit the .wbar file manually to add an application? What caused the bar to disappear by adding an application? Thanks again for all your help!
