Dear All, I have just installed the GOS Version 3 on my computer; my HP Laserjet printer was immediately recognised and is working...however, although my Lexmark 2500 scanner shows up on the screen under 'printers', when I try to use it by opening the GOS scanning programme (xzane?) the programme looks for the scanner and then says no devices found.
I am not sure if there is a simple way to address this as I am new to GOS (perhaps there is another scanning programme on GOS I am unaware of?). I have the driver and software for the scanner on CD but if I try to load it is tells me as I have a USB connection this will be automatically installed and thus I cannot proceed further than this point on the installation CD. I would really appreciate any assistance as I am currently in a very remote location with limited internet access to research this further.
