that was just to see if restarting networking fixed it (now we know
the problem is on your end, not the router)

Here's the next step:

next time you log in, before connecting to the network, type this command:

ps aux | grep [d]hclient

you shouldn't get anything back

then connect to the network and run it again - you should get one
extra line - copy that for later

finally, when your connection borks, type that a third time. If i am
right (there's always a first time) you will be back to no lines and
what is happening is that your dhclient (the program that gets an IP
address via dhcp) is dying on you.
