I'm quite new to gOS, so be gentle please. I'm still very much hurting
after the loss of 10 years of files stored in my laptop on Windows XP.
Unfortunately, when my "smart" 15 year old son installed Ubuntu, he
failed to copy my files on to the external hard drive correctly, thus
losing everything. Ubuntu was not to my taste and did not let me use
Skype, so I paid a super-good technician to fix it, and he installed
gOS which is definitely better. However, when using Skype, the phone
works on the other end, meaning I can hear them, but they can't hear
me at all. When I CAN hear them, it is very illegible and static
ridden. We can communicate via the text, but that's too slow when
you're doing seminars.
I am getting the hang of gOS slowly, because it reminds me a little of
my daughter's Mac laptop screen. The one thing that gets me riled, is
the fact that HP laptops do not like installation, or at least make it
difficult, for installation of some programs that come with gOS.
What the hell, I'm still in complete numbness from the loss of my
Windows files....you know, the "never can happen to me" syndrome.
What I ma looking forward to, is CLOUD......can't wait..
