Another thing you may wish to do is join you local
Linux User Group. They can all be found here:

http://www.linux.org/groups/

Two of my favourites are

WFTL-LUG

http://www.wftl-lug.org/

Which is aimed at users around the world.

My local LUG is

SLUG

Sydney Linux User Group

http://www.slug.org.au/

Which is quite famous :))

If you join a local LUG, you can meet up with
people who will be able to give you hands-on
assistance.
