I agree there's a common need for many groups to post information in a place that's not public. Team site etherpads (like [1]) have worked pretty well for this, although each user needs to be added manually or request access.

We have the ability to email all Mozillians and use Air Mozilla to serve videos to all Mozillians. However, our other tools like the wiki and etherpad don't currently offer a way to make information available only to Mozillians. The good news is that these tools could use the Mozillians API [2] to provide additional access to vouched Mozillians. For example, we could have specific etherpads and wiki pages viewable only to Mozillians.
