Brendan won't start another organization, at least, not one that would
be a competitor to Mozilla.

Something that has received almost zero attention is the fact that
although he's no longer an employee of the Mozilla corporation, he's
still an integral part of the Mozilla project: he still owns the
"top-level" module for the project's source code (see
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Modules/All#mozilla-toplevel). What this
means is that he is -- as he has been for over a decade -- the
ultimate authority on Mozilla's source code, and the final arbiter of
any disputes relating to the source code.
