Linda, Taj, I don't think anybody is going to claim that the board handled communications properly. However, I would like to stress out that Mozilla did not fire Brendan. He resigned due to outside pressure because he felt that the controversy was damaging the mission of Mozilla, which is exactly about free speech.
As you mention, this isn't about gay rights, this is about freedom of speech and Mozilla is perhaps the only organization that successfully defends free speech over the internet. Brendan understands this perhaps more than anyone. That's why he resigned as a CEO. That's also why he is still an active member of the Mozilla community. It is my understanding that you believe that free speech is critical, especially in today's society. That's why we need your help. We are not the enemy, we are not the guilty party, we are the victim and we are part of the solution. Best regards, David On 4/7/14 8:19 PM, [email protected] wrote: > I'm with you Linda.
