I have a pretty strong reaction to that statement. As a former paid-staff myself, I'll put it this way: You can take me from the mission but you can not take the mission from me. Wherever I go - and wherever other Mozilla Alumni go - we take those core Mission values with us. It's just impossible to live those values for any length of time - 7 years in my case - and not. I'll point to someone like Christian Heilmann going to Microsoft as an extreme measure of success. And I think that's excellent. And I think the real challenge for Mozilla is to learn how to leverage those Alumni as we march throughout the world.
