Apple hardware design from a designers perspective is state of the

Ian,
You must love the Apple single button mouse from Year Zero that
requires two hands for many operations done with one on Windows or
Unix/Linux systems. No-one has copied that.
Greg
Well I don't think my productivity has suffered under one button for 12 years.
I have spent a *lot* of unproductive time stuffing around with open
source applications which don't quite cut it (like a commercial app)
- which has been both enlightening and distracting.
For many years, I found the completely inconsistent use of the left
and right mouse buttons right pain in the rear. Modal user interfaces
are a worse learning experience than consistent ones.
(Actually I thought Unix used a three button X-windows mouse.)
BTW - what good use does one make of the other hand when driving one
handed - scratching head?
