-----Original Message----- On Behalf Of Ian Cheong
We are presently investigating possible migration options from MD2. On our short list: 1) * MD3/pracsoft has the advantage of familiarity - which users seem to want to gravitate towards * Genie when we last asked a couple of months ago couldn't import medication lists from MD; users are a bit scared of the quirky interface 2 )* Best Practice has long term risks associated with longevity in the market * others have failed to impress 3) It's looking more like the devil you know versus the devil you don't and the dollars weigh heavily in some minds and advertising seems not a concern to others. 4) What I would like is: * stories from switchers - good or bad * cost justification of alternatives to MD - preferably quantifiable productivity gains Any help greatly appreciated..... Ian. --------------------------------------------------------------- Ian 1) everybody that chganged from MD2 to BP found the ease of using BP excellent. 2) Which product has been on the open market longer ? BP or MD3. BP has been available to use for over 12 months, MD3 only now (December 2005). Demo disks have been available for near 2 years. With MD3 no demo disks. 3) HCN changed ownership and is now owned by Primary. Thus no longer the devil you know. 4) I can spend hours telling you about my switch. Elsewhere on this forum it has been discussed before (incl. by me). Rather than repeat myserlf, you can contact me privately and we can discuss the matter. In a nutshell: Good experience. If I knew last year what I know now, I would've jumped ship earlier.
