Only if you're prepared to refill ink cartridges, which most of us won't or can't do.

I had an old Canon portable inkjet for ten years. The last cartridge lasted 5, then the printer died. Increasingly inkjets have chips on the cartridge which won't let refilled cartridges work. I dumped an Epson for this reason a couple of years ago.

How much time do you spend filling ink cartridges each month?
