I buy inkjets because I *know* I save money, thoughthe main reason why I use them is that I still can use them during our frequent power outages running on my UPS I pay $59 for a litre of top quality ink, which is still obscenely overpriced, but is the equivalent of 50 ink cartridges at $30 each = $1500. On average, The HP56 cartridges I use, can be refilled some 10 times since I use this ink - the one I used previously had deteriorating quality after 5-6 refills, possibly clogging the nozzles. Toner & drum replacement for the same quantity of pages I get out of the $59 ink bottle + cartridges for my Xerox, Kyocera or Lexmark Rx Laser printers (which I use for high volume duplex printing of text books etc) would cost me some $400 when buying the toner from a bulk recycler - double what the ink (plus worn out ink cartridges replacements) cost Horst _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list [email protected] http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk
