We use Pracsoft (linked to medibase/promed) and I just type the number next to the patient's name in "waiting room". Seems to work. 23 is the default, so it's not always necessary to put anything. If there are other issues I meander out to the front desk and tell them. I often escort the patient out anyhow. G

Ok, so private-billing is good. Fine. Now would one of you silvertails mind describing how the process actually works? What does the patient sign? when? I take it you don't print the invoice yourselves in your office, how do you communicate to the receptionist what items to put on the invoice?
