It's only bullshit to those educated enough to see the arguement in its
entirety. Most of my patients used to accept that the Medicare Schedule
Fee was fee that was somehow related to the service that doctors are
providing. It can only be that if doctors allow it to be so. i.e. The
bullshit suddenly becomes true.
Do not expect your patients to understand Medicare. You have to explain
again and again to them that you are a private practitioner who sets his
fees based on the value of the service and considering the cost of
administering it. Let Medicare's propaganda be recognised for the
bullshit it is.
