Thanks. How do I do this with a non-apple keyboard? (standard 105 key

While the mini mac is excellent value, I deeply dislike the overpriced Apple 
keyboards that simply cannot compete with my (expensive, but good value) 
ergonomic Cherry keyboards

Will give it another try then. Once one is used to mutiple desktops, you 
cannot understand how people cope without. It's like tabbed browsing.
I hope that - like KDE - it will remember which program was running with which 
file opened at what position in which virtual desktop, and that the number of 
desktops is freely configurable per user - I guess it would take me ten 
minutes or more to reconfigure my desktops manually each time I switch the 
computer on, another reason why OS/X 10.4 simply doesn't do for me at present
