I've kindly been informed that Zedmed have actually had this feature for 18 months. In hindsight I should have posed this as a question, not a statement. "From a software vendor perspective, I wish to bring to your attention a minor correction to your first point. The Zedmed Office practice management system has supported the SMS capability for approximately 18 months, and it has always been an opt-in process, not a mandatory or an opt-out process, so the practice staff must ask the patient if they would like to receive SMS reminders, and flag as such in the patient record. This can also be overridden at the time of making the appointment for the patient (to either opt-in or opt-out temporarily)." Anyone aware of other vendors doing similar things presently?
