No. It's time to start a political campaign to gain funding for a professional software development company to produce an open source EHR. This will be a much better use of taxpayers money than funding talkfests. My understanding is that HealthConnect was working towards such an EHR her in Oz, but this has apparently now fallen by the wayside. UK has provided massive funding (6.2 billion pounds) to have all citizens with an EHR within 10 years, but the initial implementation has been described as a debacle, and things are apparently going back to the drawing board.
