Consider this comment I read yesterday in print "I wondered why games designers aren't employed fro UI development. some games have astonishingly good interfaces focused on a given task, and most games interfaces make reaching keys and a mouse or joystick a top priority." (Letters, LinuxFormat UK Issue 90). Is your UI completely navigable by keyboard or pointing device? Are there tasks which are difficult to access? Do you have lots of pretty little icons which are difficult to tell apart? Is your screen divided into so many bits that each is too small to use? Popups - too many menu levels - there are so many things which could be improved in so many packages.
