NetComm have a couple EOP devices, these are all on their website here: http://www.netcomm.com.au/Networking/eop.php#NP290W they have a RRP but this is an indication only and they can be purchased considerably cheaper online (For instance the NP285 twin pack for RRP $228.80 can be purchased for $172.70 + Postage from: http://www.eyo.com.au/prod_M-NP285-2_proddesc_Netcomm_Turbo_HomePlug_Etherne t_over_Power_NP285_Twin_Pack.html)
The initial cost of the devices is high however it is not as high as getting a data cabler in to hard wire the ports. You also have the added freedom of moving the device to any power point on the circuit without hving to recable. I have used the NP285 at home for over 12 months without any problems. The EOP devices are completly invisible to the connecting devices (They can be used for Printers, routers, PCs, servers etc), the connecting devices do not need to be configured (Unless you want/need to setup encryption/securty on them. This is setup using the included software). You can use as many of these devices as you like on the network. If you are going to get one of these devices make sure it is the NP285 and not the earlier model the NP210 (NP285 = 84 MBps NP210 = 14 MBps) Gareth Halbert EDI Liaison Coordinator ____________________________________________ Laverty Pathology IT Symbion Health 14 Northcott Drive Kotara, NSW 2289 Office: (02) 4923 4242 Mobile: 0411658361 After Hours: (02) 9005 7819 Fax: (02) 4923 4312 [EMAIL PROTECTED] WELCOME TO SYMBION HEALTH Laverty Pathology is now part of Symbion Health Limited.
