I seem to remember that the old Kyocera's would print fine if you use theold old HP 4 or HP 4P driver. That might get around the medtech32 issues ?
We set almost all laser printers to use the HP Laserjet 4 driver unless they require A5, for which we use the HP Laserjet 5 driver.
These drivers are small and refined and print considerably faster than the native drivers, especially when using terminal services.
My current favourite lasers are Lexmark, because except for the very smallest they all come with Network and Parallel ports as well as USB, and can do real LPR printing, the best way to print with thin clients. Kyocera do this too but we've had a few too many returns since the merge with Mita. They just don't make 'em like they used too.
Having said that, all laser printers suck. They are old mechanical technology and it's long past time we moved on from paper.
cheers, Peter.
