Hi Peter,

In view of defamation laws and previous remarks made by HCN's representative
on this forum I can share limited details on this public site.
We changed from MD3 to Profile. It was the first of that particular
conversion for that company (we understand).
The data was de-encrypted by HCN and the relevant 3rd parties they deal
with, then passed to Intrahealth.
The clinic was closed for 3 days, including a weekend then booked lightly
when we went live.
Indirect costs have been huge; our IT person spends a significant amount of
time each day (since February) trying to sort out difficulties and my
personal productivity has declined as we gradually rebuild our script data.
We have also not had the chance to learn the inticacies of the new program
which we believe has great unexplored potential.

Cheers,

Bill

This is exactly how the information came across to our practice when we
changed from MD3 to another software vendor. HCN claimed that it had been
de-encrypted. What gives.......?

You obviously don't have a full conversion.

You may be, however, the first site to do a conversion from MDW3. Will you
share the details? What did you convert to, who did the conversion, how much
downtime was involved and how much did it cost?

regards,
Peter.
