Well just got home from the www.stathealth.com.au technology preview on the
gold coast.
Interesting, interesting.
Built on Microsoft's .Net platform.
3 tier app running on ms sql 2005.
But the app doesn't talk directly to sql but to an app server that then
talks to the sql srv.

Some really nice features mainly to do with usability inside the app.
Looks to be really thin, reminds me a lot of outlook web access visually.

The support team appear to have their thinking caps on the right way around,
some clever idea's being suggested to enable conversions 
>From old mss apps in a timely manner.

They have committed to snomed (?) instead of ICPC.
They plan to have beta sites up late this year and a general launch jan/feb
08.

They certainly seem to have remembered the past mistakes and learnt from
them both in the application and in the running of the business.

They should shake up the market that's for sure.
