I think it is geek speak for something that actually works.

What gets me about all these so called 'people who know' sprouting forth 'I recommend xyz program because it is the best' is that they obviously have no idea of how a GP works. If they did they would adv them to try several different software packages. I can work quite happily with MD and did for years and now work even happier with BP. I tried Genie - good program but did not suit me, tried Medtech and could not get along with it etc.

Someone once said 'When you have seen one GP surgery, you have seen one GP surgery'. We are all different and do things differently so different programs for different people.
