Have you looked at everything on the market Richard? I still run into EHR software from time to time that I didn't even know existed, and I can assure you that MDW is far from the crappiest programme on the market.

A program like profile could be used to run the whole of Newcastle.

I've intentionally not looked at Profile because of the performance of the arsehole/s that are/were running it in Australia, and I'm not convinced that a foreign company can produce a good product for the Australian market. I also don't understand your earlier reference to "DOS" programmes being less intuitive. I believe that any computer user should invest the small amount of time required to learn how to type, and that anything that makes you reach for a mouse usually slows you down a great deal.
