Where I come from a comment like that would risk death threats.
Seriously though, I hate those sort of situations, because you can lose
a customer as quick as a wink, if they conclude that the real problem is
that you are having a lend of them or that it's your competence that's
in question, not HCN's technical overload.
Ultimately, many of those little practices, as you call them, may walk
away if they have a catastrophe because they've wanted to penny-pinch on
support, feeling that its not worth the overheads.
People die in air crashes through the same sort of thinking.
