remember that once you are with MD3 you are STUCK with it as at present
there aint no easy way to get your data out. Send him Thinus's saga -
that should put him off MD3!

Maybe slightly off topic, but I went and saw my own GP last week to get

There was a new disease and some sort of request in my notes - not belonging
to me!!!! He commented on 'don't know how that got there -- dosn't belong to
you' and did look genuinely puzzled.
I can recall previous debates on various lists about data accuracy with MD 2.
Wonder if BP has ever caused any(yet) as everyone seems enthusiastic about
it.

I'm actually loving this update.
Things have been a bit quiet and this update gave me 6 hours work in a
tiny 3 GP practice.
My thanks go to HCN for their unending support of techies in small
businesses all over Australia.

Yes I love the ways that computers "save me time".
Came in on my off Saturday and started at 12h00PM - did network maintenance
and backups to make sure server and all six workstations were as efficient
and clean of bugs as possible - too about 3 hours Then started 3.6 update -
took another 6 hours. Tried to fix the PKI error - no luck
Then went home and tried to install 3.6 on home server where I restore
backups - no luck - same error - gave up after 2 1/2 hours - sent e-mails
to all who could help.
Sunday morning I get advice from Peter M on how to fix PKI - back to work
after church and only takes 30min to fix that issue and check.
Monday Peter has to log in and fix our back-up system - HCN changed
database names with the update and the scripts are broken. he spents ?
how many hours trying to fix the home machine but we then realise that my
harddrive needs to be uncompressed as the isntall does not work on a
compressed drive.
I get home about 9PM last night and do the uncompress - 3hours later I can
install the update.
Restore system still does not work due to reasons that are way beyond my IT
skills/knowledge so Peter M will fix that.
So lets add up: I spent 12h on my off weekend and another two hours last
night - all unpaid. In addition I will owe my It support several hours of
labour.
So glad this computerised system saves time and money - NOT !!
