actually BP would be very easy to use for any MD user. its essentially set
up almost identically - not surprising in view of the  designer, its target
market and the consequent data structure it inherits.

i was looking for something a bit more imaginative when we were checking the
options a few years back (harnessing the potential of a computer model of a
medical record rather than a computerised representation of a paper record)
but the rest of the practice would not have been at all comfortable with
anything that wsn't very similar to MD.

would nevertheless echo the other comments on ease of maintenance and
reliability so pleased with the move.
