Hi Steve,

I downloaded MacGPG 2.0.17-9. When I install it, all seems to run - but I cannot find any application or program or menu, where I could decrypt of encrypt files. On my new iMac with MacOS 10.7, the installation resulted in a encryption menu added to the "right-click- menu" in Desktop.

I use a MacBook Pro: MacOS 10.5.8
2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Thanx,

Hey Jean-Philippe,

please make sure your mails go to the user list. Replying only to me decreases the chance you'll get help. Also maybe others are having the same issue and can learn from our conversation.

You wrote that you can't install MacGPG 2.0.17-9 on your system. Could you send more information about the machine you want to install MacGPG2 on?

Also note that in the download box, there is some very important information: if you are using a PPC, please use the old link to 2.0.16. 2.0.17 won't run. Is that the solution?

Let us know and have a nice weekend :)

Dear Steve,

what a nice surprise that i get a reply - AT LAST! Unfortunately the issue has not been solved and the link you gave me to download MacGPG2 does not solve the issue either. on my MacOS 10.5.8, I an run GPGMail, Keychain Access, but not MacGPG2 (that means, I cannot encrypt or decrypt files on my Mac). I have to switch to WIndows or MacOS 10.7 to have it work.

Thanx,
Jean-Philippe

Hey Jean-Philippe,

I think your question never received any reply. Were you able to solve it already?

We do support 10.5 although user support is a little tricky since the core team is running 10.7 so testing is a little hard. Currently we are investigating an issue with our Installer and 10.5 It might be a good idea to rather run the single installer packages:

Find
GPGMail for 10.5: http://www.gpgtools.org/gpgmail/index.html
MacGPG2: http://www.gpgtools.org/macgpg2/index.html
and GPG Keychain Access: http://www.gpgtools.org/keychain/index.html

Take a close look, versions for 10.5 might not be the main download link.

Hope this helps, Steve

Dear Sir or Madame,

1) Does GPGTools not run on MacOS X 10.5.8? I see it runs on MacOS 10.6 ff. Is there an older version that runs on MacOS 10.5.8? I look for a GUI for GnuGPG on my MacOS. 2) If I want to sponsor, support your development, what proposals do you have? What can I get in return?

Thanx,
