Isn't it a fascist move to demand response from certain people on all issues?
Isn't it an issue of personal choice and priority? Could Ranjith Ranjith substantiate his accusation with concrete examples? What I understand is that it is very easy to get the support of 'cultural leaders' on all most all the issues. That very fact shows the hollowness of their responses. In any case I don't think it as a logical situation where one could opt either boycoting or accusing. In certain contexts, even a routin statement might play crucial role for those involved in resistence. I wish Ranjith provide at least one single instance where the struggling people tried to get the support of the people mentioned and failed. It is one thing if they have a position and decide not to respond. But if they do have a position against it and reamain silent, it is better to attack/ expose that position than demanding their response . This is my understanding of democracy.
