In the Malayalam media, the only news that appeared was about the fear-scare of LTTE people landing at Cherthala. and also some "nationalist" reference to Vaiko's speech on the impact of killings in India.
If there is no proper syndicate to function, I think most of our 24X7 news channels and syndicated political observers will be scarred to death. These journos live on press-briefs, PTI wire, gossips, hearsay, syndicated wire, cheap arrogance and high ignorance. Above all they do conduct "open house" as in Schools and the HM will "enlighten" the audience. Corportization of malayalam media negatively impacted the content. Dailies like Madhyamam were more into rectifying their mishap with CPM and the revolutionary daily and media was more induging in individual abuse and complicating instead of strateghtning Lavlin issue.
